Citizens of Soil: Conceptual packaging design

Citizens of Soil is an independent olive oil company that sources high quality olive oil from farms usually run my females across the Mediterranean. This case study draws inspiration from the textures and vibrant tones of the soils found in the regions where Citizens of Soil sources its olive oils. Using my artistic approach, I created visual interpretations of these soils.

At the heart of the concept is the brand’s pre existing circular soil motif, which I used as a starter point to develop the design. The top half reflects the surface of the earth, while the lower section represents the soil with cultural layers of each region.

The final design is bringing the story of place, soil, and identity into the centre of the product experience.
